D4.1 Procedures for the validation of the materials processing - EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The deliverable D4.1, entitled Procedures for the validation of the materials processing, deals with the protocols followed to scale the production of the selected materials, the reproducibility, yield, and quality of the as-prepared batches for each of the four materials developed in WP1.
GNK conducted upscaling at lab scale from 30g to 300g and material validation process of AgNW conductive transparent nanoinks and hybrid WO3 semiconductive nanoinks with reproducibility (from 3 to 10 batches) and stability evaluation of the ink properties over 12 months and the installation of the pilot lines to enhance the batches size.
COC prepared 4 different batches of PEDOT/PSS ratio 1:2.5, which is used for a hybrid conductive system in the volume 500 g. Three of these batches have reproducible characteristics – dry content, spectral characteristics, conductivity, and particle size distribution. Simultaneously the preparation of PEDOT/PSS ratio 1:1.4 was developed and up scaled, which is suitable for HTL of OPV.
FED proceeded to upscale the phosphorylation process to pilot scale, a 3kg impregnated paper roll was produced. The upscaling was controlled using the previous phosphorylation model developed.
