MADRAS coordinator Eurecat has exhibited results of the project to the Advanced Factories Expo & Industry 4.0 Congress, a leading event in the industry sector that took place from April 18th-20th, 2023, in Barcelona (Spain).
In particular, the technological centre showcased a battery-free geotracking flexible tag, one of the innovative products developed by MADRAS.
This tag, which is based on sustainable materials like nanocellulose substrate or advanced inks, has been develeped through in-mould electronics processes such as injection moulding or hybridisation. It can be attached to tools, vehicles or parts in a logistic shopfloor for the localisation of assets at any time, helping to achieve real-time inventory and a better stock management.
This device was exhibited together with other printed electronics products developed by Eurecat to show the potential of the centre when it comes to this field.
Advanced Factories has brought together the latest innovations in robotics and industrial automation equipment along with emerging industry 4.0 technologies. This year’s edition registered the most visitors in the congress’ history with around 35.000 attendees.
