Project partner Laura López, researcher from the Functional Printing and Embedded Systems Unit at Eurecat, presented MADRAS in the IEEE FLEPS 2022 International Conference on Flexible, Printable Sensors and Systems celebrated on 10th-13th July in Vienna, Austria.
Her conference was titled “Towards In-mould Antennas for Geolocation Tags” and was held within session “A2L-B: Printed Smart Tags & Communication Devices 1”.
During her talk, she gave an overview of the MADRAS project, discussed in-mould manufacturing and delved into the conceptualisation and characterisation of the geotracking flexible tag, which is one of the two demonstrators of the project.

The other MADRAS project demonstration product is a a biometric photosensor for fingerprint users’ recognition of a scooter-sharing company, while the geotracking flexible tag will be used the packaging and logistics sector.
The IEEE FLEPS 2022 Conference was a large forum where researchers from all over the world discussed the latest developments in the field of material printing on flexible and disposable substrates as well as understand the future roadmap.
